The Literacy Narrative is where you examine yourself as a writer from now since you first were literate. In this assignment you are required to write a 3-5 page essay that delves into your journey that led you to become the reader and writer you are now. This assignment is your personal encounter, so any experience and event that you had throughout your life that impacted your literate abilities is good. Since you are going to tell a story, keep your paper well structured with a beginning, middle, and end. In your first paragraph you should include your thesis, this is mostly just one sentence that gives the reader the main idea of what the article will consist of, so it is very important that you include it. In addition, you must have at least one secondary source that fits well in your narrative (in APA).
